Which is better: single-strand fiber optic filament or fiber optic cable?

NEITHER ! One is not “better” than the other. Which type of fiber you use in your star ceiling is a matter of several factors:

• What is your desired star density?
• What is your ceiling material: Suspended panels or finished sheetrock?
• What is your budget?
• Is fiber management an issue?
• How much filament protection is required?
